Do you have a particular skill or talent? Favorite hobby? Career choice? Looking for a chance to work with girls without a long-term commitment? Then come share your passion with a focused group of girls who can't wait to learn your skill or pursue your area of interest. Girl Scouts needs VOLUNTEERS to work with girls (you pick the age group you're most comfortable working with!) on a short-term basis doing what YOU feel most comfortable doing in life.

Do you have 8 hours to spare? 10? 12? No matter how much time you have (or don't have), we can work around YOUR schedule.

The possibilities are endless!

Mission Statement

"Girl Scouting builds girls of Courage, Confidence and Character who make the world a better place."

Description

Girl Scouts is for girls-and it ALWAYS will be!

In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls working together. Through a myriad of enriching experiences, such as STEM hands-on events, extraordinary field trips, sports skill-building clinics, community service projects, cultural exchanges, and environmental stewardships, girls grow courageous and strong. Girl Scouting helps girls develop their full individual potential; relate to others with increasing understanding, skill, and respect; develop values to guide their actions and provide the foundation for sound decision-making; and contribute to the improvement of society through their abilities, leadership skills, and cooperation with others.

One of the most powerful results of living the Girl Scout Law is the ability to exercise and recognize true leadership. Being honest and fair, courageous and strong, using resources wisely, respecting yourself and others, and making the world a better place...these are values that our staff and our volunteers on a national and a local level continually teach, model, and reinforce.
