One of the challenges this 100% volunteer run organization faces is getting the word out and getting people to attend the fund-raising events. If you are a good networker, good with people, have good selling skills you could be a great asset as a volunteer to this organization.
IES Brain Research Foundation raises money to support research that will lead to effective treatments and cures for serious brain diseases and condisitons such as: autism, Alzheimer's & Parkinson's disese, brain cancer, stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury (concussions, etc.), addiction, pain, eplilepsy, MS, etc.
This volunteer non-profit organization attracts bright young minds to the field of neuroscientce through the Summer Student Fellowship Program.
Help us spread the word of how important this basic research is! Help us get sponsors and attendees for our events.Share your time and skills with us.

Mission Statement
The mission of this Foundation is to help advance brain research & education towards a better understanding of brain function, that will lead to effective treatments for serious brain diseases & conditions that impact us all, such as Alzheimer's, Pakinson's, pain, addiction, schizophrenia, etc. The Foundation encourages outstanding bright young students to enter this important field of research to carry on this essential work. We also educate the public about the importance of this basic research that will help find answers that we all need & want. Join us in our mission for Brain Health!
Description
We raise money through fund-raisers, partnerships and donations to fund our programs: Student Summer Fellowship Program, Training Grants, Travel Grants (to allow young scientists to attend conferences where they can learn from accomplished scientists), Teeacher Recognition program & Speaker's Bureau and our future goal: bridge grants for outstanding labs in need of money to continue the important research.
