Have you ever wanted to learn how to use a saw? See how a ramp is built? Tear up and re-install floors? Do you know how to do all of these things already? You can do all of this and more with a unique volunteer program at Asheville Habitat for Humanity.
Volunteers with our Home Repair team learn new skills (or put their skills to use!) while helping folks live better and longer in their own homes. Our Home Repair program offers affordable home repairs for low-income homeowners in Buncombe County who need a little support. We install ramps and repair porches to make sure homes stay accessible, perform retrofits for folks whose mobility is limited, and perform critical home repairs to keep homes safe.
No experience is necessary, just come prepared to work hard and have a great time!
By getting your hands dirty with us, you will get the satisfaction of helping your neighbors and learn valuable skills that might come in handy for yourself or loved ones.
Volunteer opportunities available Monday-Friday 8-3:30pm (Friday shift ends at noon). Half-day morning shifts are available with advance notice. Volunteers in our Home Repair program must be fully vaccinated.
Please use the link below to sign up for a volunteer shift today!
