The District of Columbia Public Library is recruiting volunteers to assist customers with job-seeking activities in our Job Seekers Drop-In Clinics.

Where: The Clinics are held on the first Wednesday evenings (5:30 - 8:30pm) and the 3rd Thursdays (10am - 4pm), primarily in the Computer Lab (Room 311) at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street, NW, Washington, DC 20001. Job Seeker Clinics are also conducted at various Neighborhood Libraries throughout the city and welcome volunteer assistance.

When: We are especially interested in persons who are available on either the first Wednesday evening (3 hours) or the third Thursday for a 6-hour Clinic that runs from 10:00am - 4:00pm at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Library. (You will get a lunch break!) If you are not able to stay the whole 6 hours, a minimum 2-hour commitment would be greatly appreciated. Other Neighborhood Library locations will need volunteers on the same or another weekday or on a Saturday, depending on the location.

Frequency: We would greatly appreciate an initial four-month commitment to this volunteer opportunity in order to sustain the consistent presentation of our Job Seekers Drop-In Clinics! Six hours a month for 4 months equals a 24-hour commitment to customers who will be grateful for your investment of time, energy and expertise in their search for employment!
