Through a generous grant from the Price Family Charitable Foundation and the Coastal Community Foundation, Oceanside Museum of Art will be entering into its' fifth year of their children’s art education program, ArtQuest. ArtQuest is a program that brings in 5 th grade students from the Oceanside Unified School District for a creative docent and art program at the museum. Last year we brought in over 1600 students from February through June and had a lot of fun! We used the mosaic exhibit of Jean Wells and the students created their own mosaics in our art classroom, Studio O.

We are looking for volunteers to become OMA Educators and participate in our ArtQuest program. We are happy to train you! Educators will show 10-12 students through the exhibit, assist with the creative program, and help set-up and clean-up. A background check is required.

You do not need to be a teacher or have any experience, just be willing to work with fifth grade students in a creative atmosphere. Training begins in January 2014.

If you are passionate about kids, art, and education, this opportunity is for you!
