When you become a hospice volunteer, you are helping the hospice team make a patient's last months of life comfortable by providing kindness and emotional support to patients and their families. Enrich someone’s life by giving your time to sit and talk, or listen to someone who might like to share their memories and life stories. You could read to someone, share interests or hobbies, or just sit quietly with a person nearing the end of their life.
Family members might need some time to run errands and would appreciate someone willing to stay with their loved one for a few hours.
To volunteer, you must be 18 years of age, have reliable transportation and pass pre-assignment TB test, drug and background checks at Grace's expense. Contact Grace Hospice Volunteer Coordinator at 440-942-8490 or icollins@ghospice.com to volunteer.
