Interpretation of the Dunbar House

Volunteer will be assisting with the operations of the Dunbar House. The volunteer may be responsible for researching, developing and presenting programs on Paul Laurence Dunbar. Volunteer may be responsible for conducting guided tours of the Dunbar House and insuring that both visitors and the resources are protected. Volunteer will also be staffing the contact desk and starting AV presentations. Volunteer will be providing answers to questions as well as directions to other areas. Works with staff from Dayton's national park.
About Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park

Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park is dedicated to preserving the legacies and creating an understanding of three exceptional individuals: Wilbur Wright, Orville Wright, and Paul Laurence Dunbar. The park is part of the United States Department of Interior, National Park Service.
The National Park Service manages and operates the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center, The Avaition Trail Visitor Center and Museum, The Wright Cycle Company at 22 South Williams, Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center and Huffman Prairie Flying Field. One park park partner is Dayton History, which operates the Paul Laurence Dunbar house, Carillon Historical Park, and Hawthorn Hill. Any volunteer annoucements are generally for the National Park Service managed sites. Any person interested in partner sites would be referred to those agencies.
