Nature Center volunteer- The Dr. James K. Bissell Nature Center, located at The Nature Conservancy’s Grand River Conservation Campus, offers visitors an opportunity to learn about and explore the natural beauty of Ashtabula County. Volunteers can participate in a variety of ways including exhibit design and construction, staffing the center, participating in hikes and school field trips, tending the gardens, and recordkeeping. Please contact email@example.com for more information on how you can volunteer.
Preserve Stewards: The Nature Conservancy currently manages 6 preserves, scattered across Northeast Ohio, totaling more than 3,000 acres. They contain a variety of unique natural communities including kettle lakes, bogs and fens. Preserve steward volunteers are needed to insure these preserves get the care they deserve. There are many ways that you can help out at your favorite preserve such as with ecological surveys, trail maintenance, invasive removal, restoration activities, data entry and recordkeeping.
