The volunteer victim advocates are to be on call overnight and respond upon request to accompany a victim of sexual assault through the police statement and evidence collection process. They are also to operate the Center’s hotline and offer emotional support and information to callers. The training will be provided and training dates are to be determined based on interest. A volunteer victim advocate is required to be on call a minimum of two shifts per month and their shift schedule is based on their availability. Volunteers must also have their own reliable transportation. Due to the extensive training we provide to volunteers, we ask that they are able to commit to volunteering for 8 months to 1 year.
If you are interested in volunteering at the Sexual Assault Crisis Center, please contact Shelby Sunde the Victim Advocate/Support Group Coordinator at 920-733-8119 or shelby@sacc-foxcities.org

Mission Statement
The Sexual Assault Crisis Center-Fox Cities (SACC)'s mission is to provide personalized care for victims of sexual assault, their families, and others affected in our community. By offering comfort, advocacy, resources, and education, SACC inspires the hope and healing that empower change. We promote healing, advocate for the rights and needs of survivors of sexual assault, and offer prevention education to children and adults throughout the community as we strive to put an end to sexual violence. Our free and confidential services ensure that all victims of sexual assault receive the care they need as they recover from intimate crimes.
Description
Incorporated in 1978, SACC was one of the first sexual assault crisis centers in the state of Wisconsin. The center began as a grassroots effort with one employee who provided crisis intervention and support for victims of sexual assault.
Today, the center remains one of the few stand-alone agencies in the state specializing in sexual abuse prevention and services. Because of this, SACC can focus on its original mission: "We work toward ending sexual violence in our communities through prevention and education." SACC is dedicated to providing crisis intervention and advocacy services to survivors of sexual abuse, their families, and others affected.
SACC has eight full-time staff members as well as a core of trained volunteer victim advocates who provide crisis support 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
SACC's three core program areas (crisis services, prevention education, and support groups) all encompass programming tailored to the needs of all survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse, and intimate partner crimes. We also support non-offending friends, family members, and loved ones.
Our servcies are all free of charge.
