Assist the Case Manager and caseworkers in the Reception and Placement (R&P) program at the Ethiopian Community Association of Chicago. The Case Management Assistant:

(1) Works with the Case Manager and staff to assist in the preparation of reports;

(2) Interviews clients to gather information and fills out intake forms;

(3) Assists clients at government aid offices;

(4) Completes basic administrative tasks including filing and making copies necessary for the program;

(5) Backs up program and case files on a regular basis;

(6) Assist clients in using transportation to increase self-sufficiency;

(7) Completes related duties as needed

The adjustment and development of all of ECAC’s constituents is facilitated with programs in the areas of advocacy, education, employment, healthcare and community outreach.

Description

ECAC activities include: Refugee Reception & Placement; Employment Services; Match Grant (MG) program; Child and Youth Development; English as a Second Language (ESL); and Preferred Communities (PC) program; Citizenship and Immigration Services.
