Join the Science Buddies community of volunteers! Contribute your expertise and interest in encouraging and supporting science literacy by assisting Science Buddies with one of many convenient tasks or projects designed to help us review, update, and expand our award-winning resources. Our "My Science Buddies" opportunities are short-term volunteer opportunities that let you contribute to science literacy by helping with projects that can be completed in 30 minutes or less! Sample volunteer opportunities include:
- testing new projects
- reviewing new science and engineering resources and guides
- helping us brainstorm new project ideas for K-12 science exploration
- guest-writing blog posts on hot areas of science research or news
- providing career profile information to be used in our Science Careers section
- finding videos or taking photos that can be integrated into Project Ideas

Science Buddies provides free resources that reflect students' individual interests and enable and encourage exploring the real-world application of textbook concepts by doing.
Volunteers help inspire students, test and review our resources, and encourage students to consider additional study or careers in science.
