Child Care volunteers needed at the Crisis Nursery and Owen's House in Rochester, NY
The Center for Youth
The Crisis Nursery and Owen's House, programs of the Center for Youth, are looking for responsible volunteers, (16 years and older) to work 1 (or more) four hour shift per month, in a child care setting.
The Nurseries care for babies, toddlers and children up to age 14, serving children in Rochester and Monroe County, when the families have an emergency or crisis situation. All volunteers must pass a background check and complete necessary paperwork. Orientation/training is provided. If you like to work with kids, hold babies, then this is perfect for you!
Shifts are generally: 8:00am-12:00pm, 12:00pm-4:00pm, 4:00pm-8:00pm and 8:00pm-midnight (on-call) Weekend shifts are also available.
We are looking for volunteers for all shifts. You can sign up for the shifts YOU want to help us. We will work with your schedule. We use an on-line sign up with lots of flexibility.
This is perfect for college students, retirees and people who love babies!
Due to COVID, all volunteers must wear masks, take their temperature upon arrival and take all necessary safety precautions.
