Would you like to make a difference in the lives of homeless youth in Washington, DC? Families and youth in DC have experienced increasing rates of homelessness over the past several years because of the recession, and need our help more than ever.
StandUp DC is an organization that conducts street outreach and other volunteer activities to help homeless and at-risk youth in the DC area, with the mission of ending the cycle of youth homelessness. Our organization is entirely fueled by volunteers like you, so we ask that our volunteers all learn about the programs we do and why they do them before getting involved.
We are currently offering counselor training on Wednesday, January 11th from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at the Shaw Library.
