Do you love flowers and plants? Gardens & Grounds Chair Steve would like someone to join his team this summer to help water the flowers around the center. In autumn we will trim plants and rake leaves, in spring Supplies are provided. Please help us keep these beautiful plants alive during the heat this summer.

Ballard Northwest Senior Center’s Mission is to promote the emotional, social and physical well-being of older adults through the offering of a wide variety of services and activities to engage and strengthen active and independent lifestyles for older adults. The center is a place "Where Friends Meet Friends".
Description
NorthWest Senior Center was formed in 1973 and in 1975 became a community partner of Sound Generations (at the time Senior Services of Seattle / King County) and has been serving Ballard, Queen Anne, and Magnolia seniors without interuption since then. We offer a daily nutritional lunch program, health care services, assistance and counciling, social work and support groups, exercise opportunities, field trips, and a myriad of classes and special interest clubs and groups. Our 5 person staff is assisted by more than 500 volunteers a year as we serve the needs of over 4,000 individuals each year. Numerous volunteer opportunities are available friendly, handworking, and dedicated people.
