Steps to become a Hospice Volunteer:
*A desire to help make a difference in the lives of patients and families
*Call Samantha Fox at 513.592.1873 to request an application packet. Arrange a time to discuss what it means to be a hospice volunteer.
*Attend an Orientation at our Centerville office.
*Criminal background check at no cost to you and we will conduct a two-step TB test. If you cannot take the skin test, you will need to provide a copy of your x-ray results. If you have documentation of a negative skin test within the past 12 months, please provide this to our office.

Description

Compassus Hospice - Western Ohio serves Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus and surrounding communities providing end of life care.

At the heart of hospice is the belief that everyone has the right to dignity and freedom from pain at the end of life.

That's why Compassus creates personalized care plans, giving patients the specific care they need and deserve.

Hospice is a service brought to the patient wherever they live. We focus on reducing physical and emotional suffering during the final stages of illness, and increases the quality of life for patients, their families and loved ones.

Volunteers typically travel 5-20 miles from their home or work addresses to visits patients 2-4X a month.
