CASAs come from all walks of life. They want to help kids. As a CASA you become the expert on that child. You visit in the home, school, and make observations regarding that child's welfare. This is all reported to the judge in the format of a court report.
Many of our CASAs are University students, young parents, mid-age people working full-time and many retirees. Age isn't the issue--a passion to help kids is!
This CASA program covers 5 counties in central Iowa: Boone, Hamilton, Hardin, Marshall, & Story Counties, as part of the Iowa Child Advocacy Board.
