ORGANIZATION: The Grange Insurance Audubon Center

Education Volunteers

The Grange Insurance Audubon Center hosts a variety of education programs year-round. We are in need of volunteers to assist with school-year programs, summer programming, Boy Scout merit badge programs and Girl Scout programs. The usual time commitment for each program ranges from 2 1/2 to 4 hours depending on the opportunity. Volunteers help set-up before and tear-down after each program as well as offer support to our educators during the programs themselves by leading a small group activity or acting as a second set of hands and eyes during outdoor hikes and experiences. After volunteers are onboarded with our organization, they have access to our volunteer website which lists opportunities and allows for signing up to help.

Description

This once forgotten bend in the river has become a 94 acre park and serves as a haven for wildlife and a place for visitors to enjoy nature. The park targets the young at heart and urban professionals insterested in active recreation. The center hosts a variety of programming from educational school programs, Boy and Girl Scout programming, birthday parties, and special events throughout the year.
