Help a student boost their grades and their self esteem! VIBES (Volunteers in Bellevue's Education System) matches volunteers with students who need tutoring and academic support. VIBES tutors meet with their students one hour each week during the school day. Tutors help students better understand challenging concepts and prepare for tests. They also help students improve their work habits and study skills.
Volunteers specify which subject(s) and grade level they would like to tutor. They work in the school setting in partnership with school staff. VIBES offers training in specific subjects as well as access to curriculum resources. VIBES tutors often say the best part about volunteering is witnessing the "aha moment," when a student figures out a difficult problem. Help a student achieve an "aha moment" by becoming a VIBES tutor.

Description
VIBES volunteers work in the school setting in partnership with school staff. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 1 hour a week during the school year. Opportunities are available in all 28 Bellevue schools, grades Preschool - 12.
