Thousands of children have recently returned to school in the Greater Gulf Coast Area. Many of these students will need that "little extra attention" that only volunteers can provide in a one -on -one or small group setting.
Volunteers are needed in HISD as well as other school districts in Harris and neighboring counties. Volunteers represent all economic, ethnic and educational backgrounds.

RSVP's mission is to provide opportunities for individuals ages 55 and above, to engage in service that addresses the nation's educational, public safety, environmental, and other human needs to achieve direct and demonstrable results and to encourage all seniors to engage in such service. In doing so, RSVP will foster civic responsibility, strengthen the ties that bind us together as a people, and provide educational opportunity for those who make a substantial commitment to service.

RSVP is a gateway for volunteerism in the community. RSVP provides many free benefits including free volunteer insurance, learning opportunities, and volunteer recognition.
