The Salvation Army's red kettles and bell ringers have been an important part of the holiday season for more than 100 years. Money placed in the red kettles help pay for programs such as feeding the hungry, clothing the needy and providing shelter for the homeless in our local communities of Lynchburg, Campbell, Bedford, Appomattox, Amherst and Nelson county. You can volunteer for two hours or more. This opportunity can be for an individual or a group.

Description
The Salvation Army of Greater Lynchburg has been serving Lynchburg,Campbell, Bedford, Amherst, Appomattox and Nelson counties for more than 100 years. Along with disaster relief, we provide assistance with emergency shelter housing; financial assistance with rent, utilities, food and clothing; classes that help with life skills; youth community enrichment programs; feeding programs for the hungry, and many other social services that benefit the working poor as well as the homeless populations.
