Fashion Your Mind Organization is back in the buzz of things and here to continue on with providing our valuable services to the people in our communities from the Greater Bay Area to the Greater Sacramento Area and beyond. We are hosting our 7th "Giving to Live" 5K Cancer Run/Walk and need your help. WE NEED AN ONLINE PRESENCE, we've been offline since COVID and need someone with Savvy to bring us up todate!
This year marks 17 years and we are still here giving to the people in our community through our "Finally Home" Program and our "Giving to Live" Events!

FYMO seeks a well spoken, highly motivated and exciting individual who is interested in working within the creative arts and philanthropy industry! As a Social Media Specialist you will help define and execute our organization’s social media strategy using the most popular social media platforms, ie, Instagram, X, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc. impacting thousands of people in our local community and beyond. The specialist will identify the latest social media trends and will launch targeted marketing campaigns to support our special events, programs and charity efforts in branding and outreach to the community.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute organization’s social media strategy through Instagram, Facebook, Blogs, YouTube, LinkedIn, email, forums/groups, and deemed social media platforms suggested by Social Media Specialist, etc.
- Participate in social media/online community relations
- Contribute to brainstorming meetings on news angles and social media strategies
- Assist in creating effective marketing strategies
- Develop sound-bites and messaging
- Compile an archive of content
- Support the distribution of marketing materials
- Perform general administrative duties including preparing marketing materials, maintaining electronic media files, making phone calls to news and radio outlets, etc
- Liaison to FYMO and community
- Other responsibilities and duties will depend upon business needs

Fashion Your Mind Organization (FYMO) is a Non Profit 501 (c) (3) Corporation. Our mission is to provide financial support to cancer patients for health and living related expenses. Through our Finally Home Program we help those in need and people facing homelessness with clothing and other essential resources all while offering fashion sewing and creative arts workshops to people in the communities where we operate.
Description
FYMO’s "Finally Home" program helps those in need and people facing homelessness with essential resources and supplies needed to live a sustainable life. Other services provided are job development skills, creative arts workshops for those with physical and mental limitations and help in searching for permanent housing through our community stores and satellite locations.
Our vision is to form a solid foundation that provides long term resources and housing for those in need. To close the gap of those having no place to go during the day to utilize their time in a positive and creative manner. And to explore healthy ways to release tension in an atmosphere that promotes comprehensive wellness.
FYMO’s(r) Community Stores, engage in retailing new and gently used apparel, furniture, electronics, household appliances, baby care and other general merchandise.
