Become a Hospice Volunteer!
Central Coast Hospice volunteers are a vital part of the hospice care team and provide a special support to patients and their families. Volunteers give a few hours a week to help provide companionship, emotional support, practical assistance and/or respite care.
Central Coast Hospice (CCH) volunteers share qualities that include compassion, emotional stability, flexible schedules and nonjudgmental attitudes.
All interested community members are asked to attend a three-week volunteer training prior to being matched with a patient. The upcoming training will take place in San Luis Obispo and will be held over four consecutive Fridays from 9:00 am-3:00 pm, from September 29-October 20. Lunch will be provided, pre-registration required.
If you have questions or would like to sign up, please contact Central Coast Hospice at 805-540-6020.
