We need individuals to assist with:

  • Packing individualized boxes of groceries for seniors living in housing projects
  • Distributing packed groceries at senior center
  • Sorting and hanging donated clothing for general distribution to needy (at our buiding)
  • Picking up donated items (clothing, furniture, food items) and hauling to our building for packing or distribution
  • Assisting affiliate churches with stocking, preparation, and distribution of food items to needy
  • Prayer warriors to minister the love of God to those desiring prayer
  • Visitation volunteers to schedule time to personally visit seniors who are starved for fellowship

The mission of Mighty Wind Christian Outreach is to use available resources to minister to the material and spiritual needs of others as
directed by God. We encourage people to allow the power of God to change their lives and to experience unity and freedom in praise and worship to Jesus Christ.

Description

Mighty Wind Christian Outreach exists to fulfill the
command of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to minister to those in need. We target those individuals who normally "fall through the cracks" when it comes to
obtaining assistance from other relief agencies. Our outreach supplies:

  • Clothing, food, and personal items to those unable to
    obtain immediate relief from existing public service agencies.
  • Limited assistance with living expenses (utilities,
    rent, etc.).
  • Financial counseling and personal budgeting
  • Prayer and spiritual support

As an outreach, we also hold women's and men's retreats, financially support other Christian ministries, conduct Bible studies, and provide times of fellowship to help edify the body of Christ.
