Camp Summit is a "sleep away" camp for children and adults with disabilities located in Paradise, Texas (about 45 minutes NW of Fort Worth). We offer weeklong camp sessions during Spring Break, summer and fall months as well as weekend sessions and one-day fundays. Campers are offered a wide variety of traditional camp activities in our barrier-free environment-all of which are adapted for our campers' abilities-and not limited to their disabilities. We have horses, archery, arts & crafts, sports & games, nature, and so much more!
We are looking specifically for our upcoming summer sessions.
We are looking for groups of any size, all genders, and all majors. Essentially, volunteers need to be 16 or older and have a strong desire to work with our special campers. We provide volunteers with meals and housing.

Description
Camp Summit is a year-round residential camp for people with disabilities. Campers live in cabin units and participate in group and individual activities such as arts and crafts, horseback riding, sports, nature, swimming, ropes course, and/or performing arts. At Camp Summit, the focus is on what an individual can do, and we assist them in whatever way is needed to accomplish their goals.
Camp Summit's campground location is in Paradise, Texas.
