Help the Franklin Township Animal Shelter animals find homes! Second Chance for Animals volunteers staff the weekend adoption days at the Shelter. As a volunteer, your primary role is to speak with potential adopters finding out what type of animal they are interested in adopting. Introduce them to their potential adopted pet.
All volunteers attend a New Volunteer Orientation and we also hold Dog Orientations if you want to work with dogs. Additional training is provided "on the job" on adoption days. Experienced team leaders are available to provide training and guidance.

To prevent cruelty to animals by facilitating the adoption of homeless animals through community outreach, educational programs, participation in adoption days, and by improving conditions in animal shelters and pounds and by supporting animal health initiatives such as spay/neuter and vaccination programs.
Second Chance for Animals, Inc. (Second Chance) is a not-for-profit volunteer corporation devoted to enhancing the lives, adoption rates, and experiences of the animals living in shelters. Second Chance is currently assisting the Franklin Township Animal Shelter in Somerset, New Jersey.
