Help dogs, rabbits, cats, and kitttens like sweet little Virginia find homes by assisting at adoption events or the animal shelter.

Help the Franklin Township Animal Shelter animals find homes! Second Chance for Animals volunteers staff weekend adoption days at the Shelter, Petsmart, and Petco. As a volunteer, your primary job is to speak with potential adopters so that we can find a good fit between animal and human. If you volunteer at the Shelter, you will also help clean the animal cages and get the shelter ready for the day, before it opens to the public.

All volunteers attend a New Volunteer Orientation and we also hold Dog Orientations if you want to work with dogs. Additional training is provided "on the job" at adoption days. Experienced team leaders are available at each location to provide training and guidance.
