Somali Youth & Family Club offers free, focused afterschool tutoring for children struggling in school. Our programs serve children in the most underserved communities. Many of our students are refugees who have arrived with little prior education, and require the basic skills to succeed in school.
Volunteer tutors will be paired with experienced teachers working with small groups of 4 to 8 children in elementary or middle-school.
A 2-hour weekly commitment or flexible substitute scheduling are available. Applications to be a tutor are accepted throughout the year. Training and support provided. The program is generally closed during school holidays.Skills
