The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of St. Johns County is looking for effective volunteer recruiters. Our Volunteer Ambassador Program (VAP) needs individuals 55 years old and better to recruit and assist volunteer placement in the areas of education, health care, senior citizens' assistance, housing rehabilitation, and many others. Volunteer Ambassadors will assist the RSVP Director in on-line volunteer recruitment, arranging speaking engagements, producing written advertisement, and other facets of recruitment.
Volunteers will be members of the VAP team. Training and support will be provided. This service allows for time flexibility, and involves face to face and/or virtual contact with potential volunteers.
No stiff quotas - just lots of success for the betterment of the community!

Description
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of St. Johns County provides meaningful opportunities for people 55 years of age and better to assist children and adults in their educational pursuits. RSVP volunteers serve in schools within the St. Johns County School District (kindergarten - 12 th grade), the Head Start program, and select child care centers, providing reading, tutoring, mentoring and other assistance. RSVP volunteers are available to assist not-for-profit and social service agencies with special projects. The program also strives to place potential volunteers of any age in meaningful service to the community.
