The Volunteer Interviewer gathers relevant information about potential volunteer candidates while assessing which positions volunteers are best suited to fill. The nature of this position requires the individual to provide indirect service to girls. The Volunteer Interviewer receives support, guidance, and encouragement from the Manager, Recruitment & Retention, and the Recruitment & Retention team. She or he has access to relevant learning opportunities and materials that prepare for and support this role.


Training: Complete required coursework as assigned and provided by GSCSNJ and GSUSA


TimeCommitment: Episodic - Year Round with heavy call volume in the Fall. 25 hours per month.

Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
