Are you a volunteer who is very reliable and would like to make a commitment one to three times a month for 4 hour shifts? You will greet the families and guests who come into our state-of-the-art, In-patient Care Center at Lowry? The Denver Hospice is looking for reliable, dependable, friendly volunteers who are willing to make a commitment for a four hour shift a few times a month (such as every Monday 2pm-6pm) to serve as a Hospitality Ambassador or Greeter. Greeters are helpful, excellent listeners, have great phone skills and truly care about our families and guests.
Greeters must be able to sit at the receptionist desk to welcome guests, answer the phone, show guests around, and walk around to turn off lights and televisions toward the end of their shift. An interest in helping families and patients in the hospice setting is also very important. Greeters shifts are currently available Monday-Sunday 10AM to 6 PM
The required training that we provide will help you feel prepared and confident. Free parking is provided. Hospitality Ambassadors are very important; friendly & helpful staff look forward to welcoming you as a member of the care team!
If you are interested in volunteering as a Greeter please respond with your complete mailing address so that we may mail an info packet with application to you.
Bring a friend: if you and a friend would like to volunteer together, this is a great opportunity for that! Just let us know when you reply to this posting. Both of you will need to complete an application and required training.
