Discovery Home Care Inc. a 501 (c) 3 organization located in Gastonia NC,operates an Emergency Youth Shelter for youth age 6-18 who are homeless, runaway, or in need of shelter. We are seeking a Volunteer Coordinator. This rewarding volunteer opportunity will allow you to help an organization with a special cause "homeless youth".
DHC is looking for a volunteer coordinator who will assist our Director with volunteer tracking and database management as well as organization tasks. In addition, the coordinator will assist the Volunteer Team with volunteer coordination. This candidate will be a key member of the Volunteer Program and the overall Development Department throughout all seasons. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of a non-profit organization.

Description
Discovery Home Care Emergency Youth Shelter directly addresses the youth homeless issue by bridging emergency youth shelter accommodations and much needed supplemental services to address the unique needs of the youngest victims of the homelessness epidemic.
As the issues of youth homelessness continue to emerge, viable and proven practices are critical to cauterizing the emergent wound of homelessness on its most vulnerable victims.
