Seeking individuals that will act as side walkers and leads for special needs children and/or adults on horseback. Individual will walk along side of the horse and help to stabilize the rider as needed or lead the horse as directed by the instructor. Also need barn and property maintenance help.
All volunteers will be trained under the guidelines of PATH International (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship). Our center is a member of PATH and our instructors are certified under this program.

Description
Our therapeutic riding program integrates the teaching of riding skills with therapeutic activities designed specifically for the individual rider with physical and congnitive disabilities. Our hour lessons include grooming and tacking the horse with various levels of assistance and a riding lesson incorporating activities that address physical, cognitive, emotional and educational needs of the rider.
