We need committed volunteers to serve as Transportation Specialists in the Middle TN area. Individuals once trained, transport blood products to area hospitals and medical centers. This critical volunteer role allows hospitals to perform necessary services and surgeries to patients that come into their doors in ! Monthly calendars are available for interested persons to select the routes that they would like to drive in Red Cross vehicles. You can create your own schedule--whether you work, are retired or are in school! We request that you commit to at least 12 hours per month--roughly two shifts. Drivers leave from the Nashville Center on Charlotte Avenue at 7:00 am to begin their shift.
Collecting blood at blood drives is a critical activity, but getting it to patients is even more so. Serve your community through the Red Cross in this very special role!
