Bridge Refugee Services facilitates the resettlement of refugee families who have fled violence and repression in their countries of origin. Bridge empowers refugees to become self-sufficient through cultural education, English classes, employment services, and many other types of support. With the assistance of volunteers, we are able to help refugees start a new life in America and begin to call Knoxville "home."
Before the refugee family arrives at the airport, we find and furnish an apartment for them.
You can help in a variety of ways which include assisting a case manager in moving furniture, organizing and cleaning up the apartment to look inviting, and assisting with shopping for household items.
This is a great opportunity for an individual or a group.
