The TalkOnDiabetes Foundation, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, was created to encourage personal and positive development within the diabetic community. Our website was created to provide access to objective information and data reports about past and current trends relative to diabetes. We believe this is the most constructive way to show people with diabetes and diabetes-related conditions what is happening in today's ever-changing world.

We are presently looking for individuals who would be interested in volunteering as Content Translators. Though our geographic location is in New York, part of our mission is to offer helpful information to all those who request and require for their own situations involving diabetes. Many people from many backgrounds need to learn about diabetes and how to live with it and learn from their own encounters, and the TalkOnDiabetes' website (www.talkondiabetes.org) gives people who may come across language barriers the possibility of gathering positive and insightful data for their own usage. This condition has reached pandemic levels, and we believe that anyone who wishes to know how to handle diabetes should have the option to do so, in their own native language if possible.

Applicants must be able to translate to and from English with the following languages naturally and fluently:

Italian, Spanish, Creole, Chinese, Russian, Japanese, French, and Arabic.

All interested parties must be over 18, and possess at least a High School Diploma. College students are encouraged to apply. Good communication skills, and the ability to use Word and Acrobat to utilize for translated text. Content translators will provide accurate conversions of web content and marketing materials, and will be assisting our Program Development area with registration guidelines and some agenda information. There is a three month requirement, consisting of at least 10 hours per week.

This is a volunteer (unpaid) position. Please send your resume to volunteers@talkondiabetes.org.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to spread awareness about diabetes and to help improve the lives of those afflicted and influenced, one life at a time. As members of the international diabetic community, we strongly believe that self-management is the key factor required to deal with this disease efficiently. Progress in one’s physical, psychological, spiritual and mental maintenance depends on one’s willingness to seek the necessary medical attention required and the self-discipline to follow through with advice and discussion.

The TalkOnDiabetes Foundation was created in 2010 to encourage personal and positive development within the diabetic community. Our website was created to provide access to objective information and data reports about past and current trends relative to diabetes. We believe this is the most constructive way to show people with diabetes and diabetes-related conditions what is happening in today’s ever-changing world.

Access to the current trends of today’s constant medical evolution is crucial. The TalkOnDiabetes Foundation is working to approach this issue by offering supportive and informative programs and activities. We are presently in the planning and analytical phases. Our aim is to raise awareness within local communities by providing a wealth of information regarding personal care and treatment options.
