Offering a short term place for a kitty to stay - be it a week or a month or longer - is very gratifying. Our foster kitties have been examined by our vet and are up to date with their shots, spayed or neutered, tested, treated for fleas, etc. We work hard to make sure the kitty is a fit for you and your family and your pets. A bathroom or a bedroom will work. Even being able to foster a kitty in your garage (in a cage that we loan you) is a better spot than being left in a shelter where the chances of being killed are very high. If you live in the East Bay, even offering a temporary spot for a week helps us save a cat.
We have foster homes throughout the Bay Area and we work closely with our fosters to offer support and help as needed.

Maine Coon Adoptions is an all volunteer cat rescue group that rescues, fosters and adopts Maine Coon mix cats to carefully screened families. We also take in many cats that are not Maine Coons and many cats that are older and harder to adopt.
Description
We are a growing, vibrant, active and all volunteer cat rescue group that rescues and adopts over 230 cats a year to carefully screened families. While we have a particular love for Maine Coon mixes, we love and rescue as many kitties as we can - be they Maine Coon or not - and take in many older and harder to adopt kitties..
