During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Do you like to spend time outdoors, working with your hands? Do you want to help contribute to a beautiful garden that brings pride and joy to the city? The Woodland Public Library has the opportunity for you!
Since 1989, the Rose Club at the Woodland Public Library has worked to make the library's grounds as beautiful as its historical architecture. The Woodland Library Rose Club's mission is not only to tend lovingly the rose gardens but also to educate its members in proper rose cultivation--a historical art, which once learned, you will enjoy for a lifetime. Being involved with this club will also give you the opportunity to attend some of its fascinating functions and be a part of history by tending this garden. The Public Library is dedicated to free and equal access to information, knowledge, independent lifelong learning, cultural enrichment, and the joys of reading for our diverse community.
Public libraries in California seek to engage the talents, skills and commitment of volunteers to serve the communities' information and literacy needs. Libraries offer a variety of skilled volunteer opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to library programs, operations, fundraising events and other community engagement functions. Skilled volunteers have opportunities to lead projects, work with teams of staff and volunteers, learn new skills, and have fun.
We'll work with your schedule.
