We are looking for someone with a writing/journalism/communications background to write and manager our bi-weekly newsletter. Content includes information about coming adoption events, fundraisers, volunteering opportunities, etc. and of course information about our adoptable animals.
Can you help us out? Our newsletter is distributed via Constant Contact and a format has already been developed.
We need someone to manage the content, look for different engaging content that helps dog owners, advertises our corporate supporters and suppliers as well as drives up "reads' and "opened mail"

Mission Statement
Paws In The City is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization committed to ending the abuse, neglect and overpopulation of Dallas area dogs and cats. Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. By providing money for spay/neuter and increasing the adoption rate, we take the first step in making Dallas a no kill city.
Description
- Paws In The City has spent over 5 years rescuing and healing the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community. We focus on rescuing dogs and cats from the City of Dallas municipal shelter because they must euthanize almost 30,000 animals every year. We hope to make a difference.
- We currently do not have a shelter, but utilize foster homes and boarding facilities to board the animals in our care until a forever home can be found. Therefore we do not have employee or shelter related costs. Every dollar raised goes to foster, adoption, training, medical and spay/neuter programs.
Programs
**Rescuing, fostering and adopting dogs and cats through our foster and adoption programs
** Providing a Medical Assistance Fund which offers the public help with expensive surgeries or treatments that they could not afford on their own (for qualified applicants only)
