The Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap BookSale is a once-a-year event that raises money to aid Greenville Literacy Association in fulfilling its mission. Books are donated from the community and resold at cheap prices.
There are a number of volunteer opportunities and shifts available. Dates are 8/9-8/12. We truly appreciate your help! Greenville Literacy Association’s mission is to enrich our community by increasing the literacy and employability of our citizens.
Description
GLA was founded more than fifty years ago when a group of community leaders realized that there had to be solutions to the problem of adult under-education. Today the Association is one of the largest community-based literacy programs in South Carolina and one of the most highly developed in the nation. Hundreds of trained volunteer tutors and small group instructors are active in the agency's programs, literally changing lives in a very positive way. GLA serves the community through two earning centers in Greenville and Simpsonville, and through partnerships in Greer, West Greenville and the Berea area.
