Family Care Network, Inc. is currently looking for Direct Service Interns to serve a minimum of 6 months (2 quarters; 3 quarters preferred), working 15 hours per week. Interns work alongside Social Workers and Rehabilitation Specialists to provide direct support for youth and families impacted by trauma. The extensive supervision and training provided by FCNI enables interns to move into the field of human services with a solid foundation, enhanced resume and added insight into the types of services they may consider for their future career. This is a paid internship that is eligible for college credit. The Family Care Network, Inc. (FCNI) is a private, nonprofit children and families services provider. Established in 1987 for the purpose of creating family-based treatment programs as an alternative to group home or institutional care for children and youth, the agency now operates multiple, accredited programs designed to strengthen and preserve families and individuals. In the agency's 34 year history, we have grown to serve over 2,000 children, youth and families annually in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. FCNI values intergrity, accountability, program fidelity and outcome-based services, and is accredited by the California Alliance of Child and Family Services. At the Family Care Network, we have many opportunities for individuals, businesses and organizations to partner with us to help accomplish our mission. Partnership opportunities include: becoming a foster parent, career mentor, intern, event volunteer, or event sponsor for one of FCNI's annual fundraising events: Be the Difference, Benefit for Kids and Give Joy for the holidays.
