Volunteers are an integral part of operations at the Driehaus Museum. They help the Museum create a warm, welcoming and engaging atmosphere for our visitors.
Currently, the Museum is looking for enthusuatic, reliable and dedicated inviduals who would like to learn more about the former Nickerson House, the Gilded Age, architecture, historic preservation and decorative arts. Positions available:
Currently our need is for volunteers to work weekdays, and occassional weekends.
Volunteer greeters welcome and orient visitors to the Museum as they arrive in the Main Hall. Greeters answer general questions, direct guests, and provide basic information about the Museum. Morning and afternoon shifts are available during the week and on weekends. Greeters typically work during regular Museum hours.
Volunteer event ambassadors assist with Museum programs, special events, and event rentals. These programs and events range from lectures and concerts to private parties and receptions. Most take place in the evening and on weekends. Event ambassadors greet guests, usher, assist with coat check, and help ensure guests feel welcome.
