Catholic Charities Turning Point food pantry needs a volunteer to assist in stocking shelves 1 - 2 hours per week.
Also, they need a person with a vehicle to work one hour every Wednesday afternoon to pick up donated food from a local busines and bring it to the pantry. Must be able to lift and carry boxes.

Description
Volunteers make a difference!
AmeriCorps Seniors of Steuben County provides opportunities for people ages 55 and over to make a significant impact in their communities through volunteering. Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few hours a month to over 40 hours a week serving in their communities. Opportunities to serve include volunteering at local hospitals and nursing homes, schools, food pantries, public safety programs, and other nonprofit agencies and organizations. RSVP staff assist volunteers in sharing their experience, abilities and skills for the betterment of the community and themselves. Volunteer orientation, on-site training, supplemental insurance (while on duty), and mileage reimbursement are free services available for RSVP volunteers.
