Requirements: Volunteers must train and bring their own dog to the hospital. Basic obedience classes for dogs recommended. All Pet Patrol dogs must be Pet Partners registered. On-line course from www.petpartners.org accepted. Upon completion of the handler course, all handler/dog teams must complete a Pet Partners behavioral examination prior to volunteering. Behavior examination available at Mercy at no cost to Mercy volunteer applicants. Behavior examinations available twice per year: March/April and September/October.
