Program Ambassadors are volunteers who represent and advocate specific community programs such as our Community Outreach programs or Youth programs. Ambassadors also attend health fairs and educational events in local communities. There is a current need for Ambassadors in the Western Tidewater communities to assist in facilitating valuable diabetes education. This group will help with the planning of screenings and educational events for participants. The goal of Ambassadors is to help with improving participants' health. Volunteers are also needed to support programming and data collection on various community initiatives. Students are welcome - we accomodate many internships! * Please note: Ambassadors will participate in 3 hours of ADA / Diabetes 101 training.
