Truck

We need your skills and your muscles!

We are currently in need of volunteers who can commit to a regular full day shift once a week or twice a month to assist with loading and unloading donated materials while riding along in our box trucks.

This is a great opportunity to get to know the Portland Metro area, to gain skills in packing and moving, and to get to know the Habitat for Humanity ReStores.

The ReStores help keep usable materials out of the landfill, make materials affordable, and contribute all proceeds to help build homes with Habitat for Humanity in our local communities and beyond. Lend a hand, and some muscle, to help increase our capacity to make a difference in our community.

This position operates out of our home base office in NE Portland. Volunteers must have a reliable mode of transportation in order to arrive at the office by 8:15. This shift is from 8:30-4:30 and requires a regular commitment of once per week or once every other week. We would like to be able to schedule volunteers for a minimum of 4 shifts.

This opportunity is appropriate for court ordered volunteers that have not been convicted of possession of a controlled substance, theft, sexual, or violent offenses.

This position does require an ongoing commitment and the ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly.
