You can help others in your community by volunteering for just 2-3 hours per month. Volunteering in areas that are close to your home or office. You decide your location from the areas we serve. Many of our patients have no one to visit them. Our philosophy is that no one shoud be alone.
Volunteers are needed to visit with patients, read to them, perhaps from a novel or scripture, talk with them, pray with them, or just hold their hands and be in the moment.
Are you out of work, if so, volunteering looks great on your resume.
Administrative help is always welcomed in our office; updating volunteer database, mass church mailings, assembling training manuals, etc. . The benefits for the volunters are endless. You can make a difference !!!! Stop and think about joining Heartland Hospice. After one training class you can become a freindly visitor to our patients!!

Mission Statement Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice is a growth company dedicated to providing compassionate high quality home health care. We will achieve this by recruiting professional, caring staff; encouraging our patients to become active particiapnts in their care; and by creating an atmosphere of supportive leadership. We value strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our referral sources, employees, patients and families and the community at large.
It's caring for the patient's mind, body and spirit. It's knowing there are no pat answers or universal solutions when it comes to patient care - all patients are different, and all care is different. Enriching the lives of Heartland patients and their loved ones is so much the essence of the Heartland brand, our tagline has become "Enriching Life." Those two words are the first thing we should consider when we come to work each day. How can we enrich lives? The answer is in all of us.
