ORGANIZATION: Phoenix Zoo

Horticulture volunteers work side by side with the Zoo's horticulturists helping to care for an extensive and diverse plant collection. No previous horticulture experience is necessary. This is a great opportunity to learn the tricks of the trade. Tasks include: general grounds maintenance including regular raking, mowing, trimming, pruning and watering; basic maintenance of irrigation systems; fertilization of plants and turf areas; installation of plant and landscape materials; and other related horticultural tasks.
