ORGANIZATION: The Guidance Center

  • 5 people are interested

This parent group for Latino families takes place in a safe, friendly environment, with an early childhood teacher and therapist who co-lead the parent-child play activities. While the parents go with the therapist for their group session, the children stay and play with the early childhood teacher and volunteers. During the school year children ages range from birth-5, and in the summer they range up to age 12.

Volunteers will assist with preparations- getting materials together -- following group leader’s guidance; assisting with play activities with the children, helping to prepare snacks and lunch - like setting out plates and cups and putting pizza on the table, and helping with cleanup.

The parent group meets on Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm
