CompeerCORPS is a peer program that connects Veterans with other Veterans with the purpose of providing a network of support. A volunteer of this program acts as a friend, role model and advocate to a fellow Veteran, engaging in community-based activities on a consistent basis. Some volunteers may choose to also serve in our Vets Driving Vets program that assists area Veterans by providing transportation to medical appointments, shopping, errands, etc. If you are a Veteran and want to engage with other Veterans our program might be a good fit for you. Please contact us for more information.
More about the Compeer Program:
Compeer uses community volunteers to provide guidance and support to individuals who are looking to improve their well-being as a supplement to mental health treatment. For over 40 years, we have helped people in our community who are isolated and lacking socialization, all through the power of 1:1 mentoring relationships.
