Vigil Volunteers provide support to patients when symptoms are under control during the dying process. The Vigil Volunteer provides support and guidance at the bedside, for the dying, which is a valuable gift. Every patient should have the the choice of family presence prior to death. The Vigil experience is the call to be present with our patients dying alone.
