About

Find great deals and know that every dollar you spend goes towards animals in need. Open Monday thru Saturday, 10am - 6pm; Sunday 1-6pm. Donations of gently used items are gratefully accepted at the thrift store during business hours or next door at the adoption center after hours. All donations are tax deductible. 100% of all profits go directly back into Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, to help save more pets in need!

Because of the valuable financial support our Second Chances Thrift Store contributes to our everyday operations, Brother Wolf Animal Rescue is dependent upon our efforts in that area to increase our ability to save lives.

Your next step in joining the team is to select a training date. We've scheduled multiple upcoming Team Trainings to fit your schedule. Please let me know which one you can attend:
  • 1st Thursdays of the month, at 6 pm
  • 3rd Tuesdays of the month, at 9 am (followed by a chance to put your training to work when the Thrift Store opens); or
  • Brooke can meet with you one-on-one when it fits your schedule

There are all kinds of ways to help around the Thrift Store and let your artistic side come out:
  • sorting through donated clothing and items
  • setting up creative displays
  • organizing our book section
  • help keep our foster cats room in pristine order
  • transport items to our smaller West Asheville location
  • and many more fun things!

Once you've been through training, you'll be able to select your spot on our Thrift Team. Our team members can volunteer for as many shifts per week as they like (including back-to-back shifts), however, we ask that you commit to at least two per month. Thrift Team shifts include:
  • Monday - Saturday: 10 am - 12 pm; 12 pm - 2 pm; 2 pm - 4 pm; and 4 pm - 6 pm
  • Sunday 1 pm - 3 pm and 3 pm - 5 pm

These shifts are designed for you to help contribute to the success of the Thrift Store as well as getting to treat yourself with love from the animals at the adoption center before or after your shift.

All of the money raised from the Thrift Store goes back into all of BWAR's life saving programs, which is why we need you to help us raise as much money as possible to save as many lives as possible! If you're excited about making a huge impact at Brother Wolf, please email me or schedule yourself for an upcoming training through VicNet.

We appreciate you as a volunteer and look forward to seeing you on the team!
